Lia expressing everything, knowing all the hate she gets, admitting she's"not that good" hurts me A LOT. Let's show Lia our ENORMOUS amount of love for her and let her know she's always doing GREAT. And haters please leave her alone I'm begging you :')

Well for dancing it's understandable cuz she's vocal line. But sadly people attacked her vocals too. I would watch Lia on stage and I could feel her carrying the pressure. I think Lia handled the pressure well tho, she got thru the hardest parts like debuting isn't the easiest of times 💖

What Ryujin said is sadly so true. They say "it's so good for a girl group" as if they were expecting less just because they're girls. It's not a complament, it just shows us the huge prejudice towards women. Ryujin is a visionary and i hope the young girls in korea see this and we can build a society with less misogyny.

Honestly, Ryujin's topic hits so hard. Not only for Koreans and kpop fans internationally but also for adults and non kpop fans. Ryujin promoting gender equality and justifying body shaming. She is so brave to speak out even though she's still young and the topic is too sensitive for everyone.

To ITZY, Yeji, you don't see it in yourself, but you were meant to be the leader. You have the innate ability, so trust yourself! I've seen that power within you all along. You're the heart and soul of Itzy. Lia, you're improving every day, you keep up with the fast pace of being an idol, and you are not falling behind the others! You stand by their side, always. Ryujin, you're an amazing and strong woman. You are the one who will prove to everyone that female idols can do anything. You are important and powerful! Chaeryeong, you ARE beautiful, but you don't realize how you brighten up the room. Your heart is even prettier, and we cherish you! You are our light. Yuna, you are growing up so well, and we only care about seeing you be yourself and living happily! Do whatever your heart desires, without burdening your heart or mind with what others think. We love your smile the most! Love, A Midzy~

It's the way there are male and female double standards everywhere. No matter the industry. I'm so happy she spoke up about this and JYP aloud all of them to be so open and honest about how they really feel. It's very rare in kpop to hear a famous idol be allowed to be this honest, as hard and unbelievable as it is that the kpop industry encourages idols to be censored for fear of the backlash. Really hope they continue doing this.

"i wish i had more life experiences so this could be easier." yuna sounds so mature but that's what worries me. it's so easy to forget she's a literal child when this all started. at 15, do you really know who you are and what you want and how to deflect external criticism? I hope she and all of them really have time to think about themselves outside of this kpop bubble.

I love how they openly expressed their feelings. They're not shy to express their feelings, their worries, their insecurities. They're just rookies but they're struggling a lot because of the hates, expectations and standard of the people. I hope people will realized that they are humans too, they have feelings too and they're not robots who you can controlled or reprogrammed when you wished.I'm proud to be part of the family, to be midzy. I'm proud of itzy!! Accepting your flaws and imperfection will be the key to love yourself. Be confident on what you have. Don't let others dictate or controlled you. Just be you.

I cried when Chaeryeong started crying, just like her, I've always received hate comments about my looks... Since I was a child, people would say that I'm ugly and too skinny and stuff like that. I've been carrying those scars by myself, so I also relate to Yeji. Since I was young, I keep my secrets to myself and I don't really speak up to no one. Not because I don't want to, the feeling that expressing my thoughts makes me weak keeps chasing me. But I want to allow myself to cry, I want to allow myself to be sad because I'm a human too. But I just can't...

i can relate to bottling up feelings as well, i used to do that thinking that i would be weak otherwise, but i've learned through time that if anything, it just makes you much stronger than before (which sounds kinda cringy but it's true). you've gotta let go of thinking you're weak if you cry because facing all those feelings requires a lot of courage and the fact that you're already addressing them a bit is very admirable :) i hope one day you learn to express these feelings, as uncomfortable as they are (sorry this was super long btw haha)

Yuna really deserves more love, since she's the "cheerful vitamin" of the group, its hard for her to express how she really feels. In her message, even while talking about matters close to her heart she still tried to smile, and that really broke my heart, seeing her vulnerable side and her crying as well. Yuna is sooo unbelievably talented and honestly her dancing is so underrated. She is so beautiful , especially her smile, so i hope that she wont feel pressured and can smile happily. 💖🌻

every member has their own worries. lia feels left out because of her dancing and unworthy of all the success they gained yeji feels overburdened with the responsiblity of a leader and bottling up emotions chaeryeong has to suffer malicious comments and a lot of mocking since a VERY young age, affecting her confidence ryujin exposed the double standard in kpop. there are def enough clothing for chubbier people, the kpop industry does not lack money, but they chose not to bring those outfits out, instead making idols slimmer to fit in tiny shirts, dresses and shorts. plus, boy groups are viewed much more highly. they are expected to have difficult choreo, while girl groups are expected to just do some random choreo and “be pretty” yuna finds it difficult to deal with her feelings because 1. she is young, she needs some guidance, but 2. she is so successful that others around her feel like she is too privileged already, no need for help but they held on together and remained as itzy - the itzy that brings energy to the audience through their performances, the itzy that brings joy and power to midzy they are precious

When they came out with Dalla Dalla she barely had JUST turned 15. recording and debut prep took place when she was only 14. she started training at like 11-12. i’ve always said that i worry about her mental health, that the amount of pressure and focus on Yuna’s looks and behavior (usually about her “perfect” face, body, her “mature” personality) from adults can NOT be positive for her. it’s always been so gross and sad for me to see what everyone says online.... absolutely shattered my heart to see Yuna cry about hurting from having to debut and live this difficult lifestyle at such a young age without any awareness or a fortified mentality that comes from growing up and living life, which could have helped protect herself from the world.

Lia worked so hard to get where she is, and yet haters say “she got in cuz she’s rich” and “isn’t talented” and “isn’t pretty”. Because of these comments, Lia has worked herself to DEATH. She tried losing weight, and you can see in the dance videos how much weight she lost. It’s not healthy, and neither is the mentality that “she’s not good enough”. People just need to SHUT UP and appreciate how much work she puts in to get where she is now. #helplia

But these people, don’t that. That’s why they hate. They don’t know what they go through. It’s hard being an idol. So acknowledge that, haters.

You know what's harder for these girls? They were shown to the world like polished diamonds. The moment we saw them the first time on stage, we knew they were going to be so successful because they were already very good. So everytime they come up with something new, whether it's a new album, a new MV, a new dance practice video, a new performance, people expect that they're going to be as good or even better than the last time. I can't imagine the amount of pressure they're carrying everyday. Despite that, despite everything, despite all these struggles they just shared with us in this video, they keep giving their all and that's what makes me want to keep supporting them. Let's protect these girls at all costs and give them what they deserve, midzys.

It makes me think that they want us to know that even when they are struggling they'll do their best. Trying to be honest to us and trying to say to us that we should do the same, we are not alone, Itzy is not alone. ITZY! MIDZY! 💞💞💞 Edit after watching all the video: Thanks for the likes tho, I hope y'all can see Itzy as something more than idols. I started crying after Chaeryeong's speech, when she said that she knows that not everyone will identify with the behavior of their lyrics songs, that she is not like the lyrics either but want to people feel as free as the lyrics that was really touching. I can relate with everyone's speach Did you notice that most of the members they don't feel "Enough" to be "Itzy" As if itzy was a standard, girls... I’m 10 months older than her and because I always “see” her acting all bubbly and happy/clumsy I honestly even thought she was a little bit immature, not that there’s anything bad about it, but that’s just how I perceived her. But now after seeing and hearing how she expresses herself I can’t even believe we were born in the same year! It makes me think she’s really smart but it also lowkey breaks my heart as I can see now how she is always trying hard to fulfill her role as the “maknae” that it has even become difficult for her. :( Or the fact that I can see that she may be a person who enjoys interacting and creating relationships with people around her and her schedule doesn’t allow her to do so “if I have had more experiences before this then I wouldn’t be this stressed” like, JYP give them a break! Now the poor girl might live with the feeling of not experiencing life at its fullest or the way she wanted :(

i don’t see a lot of comments talking about what Ryujin said, so i’ll do it. she’s right, you know. i’m more of a boy group stan than a girl group, but it honestly perplexes me when people compliments girl group by saying things like “this choreography looks like a boy group’s choreography”, “you dance good for a girl group”, “your performance doesn’t look like a girl group’s performance at all”. i get that boy group’s choreography and performance are typically more taxing, but compliments like that doesn’t feel like compliments at all. it just felt like all the “i’m not like other girls” bullshit. when you say things that ends with “....for a girl”, that’s not a compliment at all. you just indirectly put girls with other girls on a competition no one agree with. if it’s something that mostly males do, like “you weightlift well for a girl”, i might let that slide. but if you say “you dance well for a girl”, i simply can’t vibe with that. both males and females can dance well, and you giving those kind of compliments to ITZY just indirectly insults other girl groups, and maybe even the ITZY girls themselves. double standards exist in Kpop, whether you like it or not, both with males and females. males can suffer through things that females won’t, and females can struggle through things that males don’t. but we can make those standards disappear. we can stop saying things like that, stop giving backhanded compliments. we can start saying things genuinely, and thinking of our words carefully before posting them. just please, think about Ryujin’s words carefully, and reflect on them. she’s right, and we all know it.

yes, i’m a boy group stan too and a midzy. after watching what she said i thought back and i am proud to say I’ve never compared them to boy groups like that. i’ve never thought ‘wow they’re dancing good for a girl’s group/their performance could be good enough for a boy’s group/it’s good enough for a girl group’. i’ve always found their choreography synchronisation to be one of the best/if not the best in the industry and only focused on their performance alone without comparing them to anyone. the only sentiment i had since their debut was ‘wow.. these babies really trained so hard because it’s not simple to be this synchronised as a 5 member group with strong defining choreography moves like these’. i became a fan immediately during DALLA DALLA after being in awe at how powerful, clean and on beat their dance moves are (didn’t use ‘were’ because they’re still like that). each choreography requires different execution and it’s frustrating if they are giving their best and hardest only for you to say they’re doing good for a GIRL group. who says girls can’t dance like that too? those people may mean well or think they’re complimenting, but being constantly compared to a boy’s group is a very subconscious sexist comment. i hope midzys who see this video think carefully about their ‘compliments’ relating them to male groups in future and compliment them the right way, just based on their performance alone, and not relative to anything else, just like what ryujin had worded. Male idols even have more Privileges. Like somehow when males take their shirts off dancing around females, they're called "cool" and "hot" but when female wear short shorts and a bra, dancing around other men, they are called "cheap" or "Incompetent" . And men are able to be over 60kg but when Jihyo was 56kg she apparently lacked self care. ;-; People need to stop being so Stereotypical! Who cares about weight, who cares about what clothes you wear? And don't even get me started on how a girl having short hair and a flat chest automatically makes them a guy. Girls can have short hair, and if they don't have a chest, what's insulting them about gonna do? It's not gonna make their chest any bigger, or their hair any longer. If you don't like something or someone, WALK TF AWAY

@Tina Mccrary double standards exists both ways, not just with females, although i do agree that females seem to get the worst end of it. i wish the standards would just disappear, but some people are just too heartless and thought that these idols were theirs, their puppet, and not human like the rest of us. people should stop holding idols to these almost imposing standards, but no matter how hard we preach it, it almost seem like it would always fall on deaf ears. i’m glad Ryujin is starting to talk about this now

I’m happy that jyp let them release this video where they express their emotions and thoughts. We don’t know a lot about our idols lifes, yet we keep judging or throwing hate. They train so hard when they’re only children, and expect to be happy after debut, but then there are so many things that make them sad. I already find it too much the fact that idols need to dance when singing, and we have the audacity to judge their ability when we watch them while laying in bed all day. We want them to be pretty/ handsome, have good bodies, and also smile everytime. So we know that there are lots of international fans, which while they listen to western pop, they try to enjoy the music, but when it comes to kpop, we have learned from knets and companies to focus too much on other aspects as well. Also some immature fans would throw hate at other groups, try bring them down. Why cant you just be a multistan; try to enjoy different genres and individuals/ groups, and if you don’t like smth/ s.o just leave. Why would you say bad comments? To make you feel good?! Just i want to tell everyone, no matter whose fan you are, be respectful and also thoughtful for others feelings. These idols who have been giving everything from a young age, aren’t even allowed to date or be happy. Also i know that lots of us pay too much attention to other ppls expectations but later on you’ll realise that no one actually cares for you and you’re all that is left to yourself

I just want to give them a hug and say everything is going to be okay.🤧 To ITZY, You may not know but, I want to say thanks for being there for me through your music.
